Spring Group Exhibition at the Solas Art Gallery             
(5th April - 4th May 2019)

 
Dear Artist
You are invited to submit up to 3 pieces of work for the Spring Group Exhibition at the Solas Art Gallery.
 
Drop off is on Saturday the 9th March 2019 from 12pm - 5pm.
This exhibition is open to members only. We welcome new members. Membership costs €30/annum and can be taken out/renewed on drop-off day.
This Exhibition is selected and the theme is open.
Maximum size is 60 x 60 cm (or 50 x 70 cm etc). Alternatively you may submit one larger piece.

You can print an entry form, artwork stickers (print out and stick on) and a summary with the important dates and information (see below). The drop-off can be quite busy at times so we ask that all your paperwork (Entry Form and Labels) be complete when you arrive, that work is ready to hang with D-rings attached and frames & glass are clean and unblemished. The check boxes show the things that should be completed. All work should be for sale and should not have been shown at Solas Art Gallery in the past. Work must be originals or limited prints.
As always, if you can help with any part of the exhibition please let us know - prepare finger food, serve wine on the night, wash glasses etc. If you can give an hour or two of your time it would be a big help.
Remember that Sculpture, Photography and Glass have all been exhibited at the gallery. These art forms are all very welcome. We have a collection of plinths available for display.
We regularly use images of our members work for promotional purposes. If you do not want us to use images of your work on our website/ facebook page, please tick the box on the exhibition entry form to opt out of this opportunity.

SUMMARY

  • Art Drop Off Date: Sat 9th Mar 12noon-5pm

  • Number of Pieces: Up to 3 per Member (or one larger piece if it is bigger than the specified limits)

  • Size: Up to 60cm x 60cm or a combination of these dimensions (Eg.50cm x 70cm).

  • Please Note: Pieces should not have been hung in gallery previously.

  • Membership: Must be paid up to date. Can be done on the day if necessary. (All memberships are due for renewal as and from the AGM )

  • Completed Entry Form: Entry Form is available to download elsewhere on the site

  • Stickers filled in on back of artwork: Labels are available to download elsewhere on the site and can be taped to the back of the work

  • Presentation: All Artwork ready to hang with pair of D-rings on the back

  • Clean Frames and Glass

  • Framing and mounts to gallery standard

  • Selection: This is a selected Exhibition.

  • Opening: Friday 5th Apr at 7.30pm

  • Pick Up of Unsold Work: Artists will advised at a later date.
