'Paused' Sept 25th to October 17th 2020
Strange times call for unique responses as we find old ways of being or interpreting the world no longer serving us.
'Paused' an exhibition of public response to the Pandemic of 2020.
The public are invited to submit work in any medium or format that expresses their feelings or experience of this unusual time when lives have been Paused.
Creativity is therapy which can take any form and is as individual as we ourselves are.
A scrap of paper with the words 'Crazy' or 'Wonderful' can convey a world of emotion, or a simple snapshot of a lost loved one with a heart felt phrase could perhaps bring comfort in the sharing.
Peace, joy, frustration, isolation, admiration, restriction, confusion, freedom , uncertainty and loss to name but a few when shared remind us that though we have been isolated, ultimately we are never alone.
The sharing is what bonds us in our diversity and reminds under the surface we are all alike and therefore one.
In that the exhibition 'Paused' hopes to convey a sense of healing and community in this strange and unusual time where as yet we are all unaware of what the future may hold.
Work can be submitted on Saturday September 5th, 12 to 5pm at Solas Art Gallery, Ballinamore.
Maximum 3 pieces submitted per person, free of charge for this exhibition.
