THERESE TIERNEY ARTIST’S STATEMENT 

Originally from Dublin, I have been living in Roscommon a number of years now. Whilst travelling back to Dublin and around different rural areas, I felt connected to these places. A big part of my life was experienced through both lenses, city and rural life. 

 My latest body of work "My Journey So Far..." began back in early 2020 before Corona virus interrupted our lives. It starts with scenes of Dublin and continues to scenes where I first felt that familiar sense of isolation. Having been confined indoors during lockdown I felt a strong connection to these spaces. This has been my journey so far and who knows where it'll take me in the future.
